Ammon News - The Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) has revoked the licensing of two plant and herbs-based therapies sold under the brand names "Rola Mixture" and "Rola Tea" for inflammatory bowel symptom relief and digestion improvement.
The decision came after license holders failed to comply with the terms and conditions set forth in the licensing and went to claim the products can help in slimming and weight loss, said JFDA Director-General Nizar Mhiedat in a statement on Thursday.
He called on citizens to communicate with the administration before purchasing herbal and plant based treatments, to ensure that these products and their advertisements are duly licensed, and to buy them from trusted and specialized.
The JFDA director warned of the unlicensed selling or marking of such products either in brick-and-mortar markets or on social media networks.
