 Swedish Ambassador Alexandra Rydmark Saturday said that her country maintains deep relations with Jordan in the various fields.

In a statement to mark her country's national day Sunday, Rydmak said: "Celebrating the 6th of June in Jordan is also a moment for me, and for all our friends and partners, to mark the strong ties between our two Kingdoms and peoples."

She said the "excellent relations between the two countries are based on friendship and strength, and we are collaborating on many issues of common interest, political and humanitarian matters in the region, strengthening multilateralism, UNRWA, women and youth economic empowerment and entrepreneurship,  trade and innovation and climate change."
 
The envoy said that Sweden continues to be a close partner to Jordan in "navigating the challenges ahead, whether for domestic recovery and prosperity."
