The official spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dhaifallah Fayez, said the consul at the Jordanian embassy in Tel Aviv on Sunday morning visited two Jordanian citizens detained in Israel, Musab Al-Da'jah and Khalifa Al-Anouz.
The consul were reassured on the detainees' conditions, listened to their demands, and checked on progress on investigation with them, Fayez pointed out.
The Ministry will continue to follow up on this issue with the Israeli authorities to ensure the detainees' legal and human rights in line with international law, the spokesperson noted.
Israeli authorities, he noted, should respect the detainee's rights and bear responsibility for their safety.
Noting the ministry will continue efforts to release the Jordanian detainees, Fayez said the embassy in Tel Aviv will maintain visits to check on their conditions.
