Meeting held to review economic ties with UK, EU

Ammon News - Members of the Jordan-UK-Northern Ireland Parliamentary Friendship Committee on Wednesday discussed means of enhancing economic ties and opening new aspects for cooperation in the fields of economy, industry and investment.

MP Mohammad Saudi called for easing all obstacles facing trade exchange by supporting Jordan’s exports to the EU and the UK, highlighting the necessity of this meeting after the UK’s exit from the EU, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Talks also covered the mutual agreements, notably the UK and EU’s contributions to support Jordan, including reviewing the rules of origin and supporting Jordan’s entry into the EU markets.
