26K people receive COVID-19 jab in Mafraq

Ammon News - Around 26,000 people in the Mafraq governorate have received the COVID-19 vaccine since the start of the national immunization campaign, said Hani Alimat, Director of the Mafraq Health Department.

In a statement on Tuesday, Alimat urged those registered on the national vaccination platform to commit to their appointments and adhere to public safety measures like social distancing and wearing face masks.

He also indicated that the health map and the epidemiological situation in the governorate is similar to the rest of the Kingdom, noting that efforts are focused on reducing the percentage of positive coronavirus tests from 12 - 13 percent (the current percentage) to less than 5 percent over the next few weeks.
