Environment Minister meets with Australian envoy

Ammon News - Environment Minister Nabil Masarweh on Tuesday received the Australian Ambassador to Jordan Bernard Lynch.

During the meeting, views were exchanged on environmental issues of common concern, including climate change and the upcoming visions in the world and the international state of emergency in order to implement projects concerned with climate change, and the Jordanian and Australian roles in exchanging expertise in the field of climate change, and setting plans and programs aimed at reducing this phenomenon.

During the meeting, it was emphasized that the two countries wish to cooperate and communicate in order to develop joint development programs.

Masarweh indicated that Jordan is looking forward to implementing future projects, exchanging Jordanian and Australian expertise in the field of technology, and creating green job opportunities, to protect the natural reserves and the newly announced marine reserve in Aqaba.
