Ammon News - Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply, Maha Ali, met Monday with the European Union (EU) Ambassador to Jordan, Maria Hadjitheodosiou, for a discussion on mechanisms for cooperation in the economic, trade and investment fields, especially in light of the current circumstances resulting from the Coronavirus pandemic.
The meeting tackled latest developments and discussed areas of cooperation, improving the business environment and facilitating measures related to foreign trade, export development and the development of small and medium enterprises, in a way that would benefit the private sector in both sides.
The volume of trade exchange between Jordan and the EU countries amounted to JD3.716 billion in 2020, and Jordanian exports were estimated at JD216.6 million, an increase of 2.9 percent compared to 2019.
