Minister of Interior, Mazen Faraya discussed with the British Ambassador to Jordan, Bridget Brend, ways to develop the prospects for bilateral cooperation, especially in the security and police fields.
Speaking during the meeting held Tuesday, the minister lauded as "strong and solid" the relations between Jordan and Britain, noting to the many common interests that connect the two kingdoms in various fields, which made their ties " stronger" over the years, and formed a "fertile" environment to establish a network of qualitative and effective relations in the economic, political and security fields.
The minister pointed out the need to continue exchanging security experiences, training programs, and organizing visits that would increase the cooperation and coordination level to combat crime of all kinds.
Achieving security at the global level requires solidarity, cooperation and coordination of efforts among all countries, he noted.
For her part, Brend affirmed her country's commitment to supporting and assisting Jordan, emanating from the "distinguished" relations between the two countries.
Highlighting Amman's positions in support of peace and stability, the envoy said Jordan is directly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and its negative consequences that hit vital and service sectors and various forms of daily life.
The two parties agreed to continue efforts to enhance cooperation between the two countries in various fields, and maintain communication and coordination to serve common interests.
