Health Ministry uncovers forgery in curfew exemption permits

A government top official on Monday said that the Ministry of Health had, during the past week, uncovered an operation of manipulation and forgery in issuing curfew exemption permits and badges.

The Ministry informed the Public Security Directorate (PSD) about an operation to forger curfew exemption permits and badges on behalf a ministry contracted catering and cleaning company, Minister of State for Media Affairs and the government official spokesperson, Sakher Dudin, said in statement.

Immediately, Dudin added, the police initiated an investigation and took the necessary measures to arrest those involved in this operation.

Conducting the required investigations, PSD personnel were able to identify the persons involved in the operation and they arrested five people and referred them to the Amman Public Prosecutor who decided to detain them for a seven days pending investigation, on charges of using seals or a label of public department for an unlawful purposes, Dudin explained.
