Ammon News - The US embassy in Amman extended its condolences to the families of those who passed away in the incident on Saturday at the New Salt Public Hospital in the town of Salt, northwest of Amman.

“For US diplomats assigned here, Jordan becomes our second home, and our ties with the Jordanian people include friendships that have grown over the years of our joint endeavours,” read a statement from the US embassy.

“We have had the privilege of sharing moments of joy like weddings and births, as well as times of deep sorrow — and you have consoled us in our own moments of sadness. We join you in honouring and remembering those lives lost so tragically,” the statement said.
