Cabinet endorses 2021 Money Exchange Business Law

The Cabinet, in its session held on Sunday, headed by Prime Minister, Dr. Bisher Khasawneh, approved a draft law amending the 2021 Money Exchange Business Law.


The draft aims to regulate the conduct of issuing and receiving money remittances, and stiffening penalties for practicing this process without a license.

Meanwhile, the Cabinet approved the 2021 Agricultural Workers Bylaw, given the sector's workforce conditions, aimed to regulate its operations, preserve workers' rights without discrimination, and ensure their coverage under the social insurance per the Social Security Law in place.

The draft also protects workers' wages, and provides conditions for their occupational safety and health against work-related hazards and diseases, and to ensure suitable residence is provided to them.

The Cabinet also approved recommendations of the settlement and conciliation committee related to settling pending cases between 483 companies and taxpayers and the Income and Sales Tax Department.
