Prime Minister, Bisher Khasawneh, on Wednesday issued a circular regarding times of curfew, movement of individuals and closure of businesses.

Following is the text of the circular:

The issued circular No. (24) for 2021 based on the provisions of Defense Order No. (19) for 2020 and based on the provisions of Article (Eighth) of Defense Order No. (19) for 2020, I decide to issue the following circular:-

First: Articles (First), (Second) and (Third) of Circular No. (11) for 2020, Circular No. (19) for 2020, and Circular (First) of Circular No. (20) for 2020 shall be canceled.

Second: Paragraphs (1, 2, and 3) of Article (First) of Defense Order No. (19) of 2020 shall be repealed and replaced with the following:

1-A- Individuals shall be forbidden to move and roam in all areas of the Kingdom, starting from 10pm on Thursday until 6am on Saturday of every week.

B - Citizens are allowed to walk around on foot for one hour to perform Friday prayers, and the Awqaf Minister is authorized to determine the start and end time of the hour, provided the worshipers adhere to the approved health protocol.

2 - Individuals shall be forbidden to move and roam in all areas of the Kingdom during the rest of the week from 10pm until 6am.

3- Businesses shall be closed in all areas of the Kingdom from 9pm until 6am, with the exception of establishments that the Prime Minister decides that the nature of their work requires otherwise.

Third: The provisions of this circular shall take effect as of Thursday morning February 25 until further notice.
