In 2020, the area of housing buildings totalled 4.960 million square metres , compared with 5.495 million square metres in 2019, registering a decline of 9.7 per cent, the DoS said on its website. The department added that the number of licences went down by 13 per cent from 22,080 in 2019 to 19,200 in the last year.

Ammon News - The total area of licensed buildings during 2020 reached some 5.721 million square metres, compared with 7.080 million square metres during 2019, marking a 19.2 drop, the Department of Statistics (DoS) announced on Wednesday.

In 2020, the area of housing buildings totalled 4.960 million square metres , compared with 5.495 million square metres in 2019, registering a decline of 9.7 per cent, the DoS said on its website.

The department added that the number of licences went down by 13 per cent from 22,080 in 2019 to 19,200 in the last year.
