Ammon News - Livestock herders in the Mafraq Governorate have exported 30,000 heads of sheep to Gulf Arab countries since the start of the year, according to Mafraq Agriculture Director Imad Ayasrah.
Ayasrah said that the exports proceeded according to foreign market health requirements, including a 21-day quarantine, health supervision and immunization of the livestock against epidemiological diseases, after which the ruminants are given clearance, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
Ayasrah added that sheep exports will support the national economy, improve the livestock breeders' income and reflect positively on farmers.
