Ammon News - Head of Qatar Chamber’s Food Security and Environment Committee, Mohamed Al Obaidly, on Tuesday praised the advanced quality of the Jordanian food industries, calling on companies of the Kingdom's foodstuff sector to invest in Qatar.
Al Obaidly, who is also a board member of the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry, stressed the importance of boosting partnership and cooperation between Jordan's manufacturers operating in this field and the Qatari private sector; by establishing new joint food industries, pointing out that his country's market provides privileges for foreign investments.
Jordan's food products and commodities, he said, attract various consumers in global and regional markets, mainly the Qatari one.
"Qatar imports many products from Jordan, most of which are food commodities, including dates, vegetables, fruits, milk, cheese, eggs, sheep, olive oil, sweets, in addition to nuts, frozen products and poultry," he added.
