The minister noted that the government had also agreed with the COVAX Initiative to procure COVID vaccines, adding that efforts are underway to buy more batches of the Sinopharm vaccine. Furthermore, Obeidat revealed that the government had reached understandings with "AstraZeneca" and "Johnson & Johnson" to supply the Kingdom with coronavirus vaccines as soon as they are produced and granted emergency use status both globally and locally. The minister and other top health officials will Sunday hold a press conference to outline the details of the national immunization program against the coronavirus disease.
