Justice Minister, and Interior Minister-designate Bassam al-Talhouni, on Friday, chaired a remote meeting with administrative governors in the presence of Secretary General of the ministry Governor Khaled Abu Hammour.
The meeting covered efforts carried out by the Ministry of Interior cadres and security bodies to make the parliamentary elections a success in all its stages, as well as, the most prominent security challenges facing the Kingdom and ways to confront them in order to maintain security and safety countrywide.
Al-Talhouni stressed that Jordan was, is and will remain a state of law and institutions, and that the rule of law will be applied to everyone without exception.
He commended the administrative governors' role along with the security bodies during the elections despite violations by some supporters of candidates, noting that such persons will be held legally accountable.
The minister stressed the need to strictly enforce defense orders, and to prevent gatherings of all forms, in light of the mounting numbers of people infected with the novel coronavirus.
