Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army and security agencies on Thursday started to deploy across the Kingdom to enforce a 48-hour blanket lockdown on Friday and Saturday.
The closure, which will start 12:00am this night, is part of the ongoing fight against the coronavirus pandemic and it is mainly aimed at reducing the spread of the disease, cutting down daily infections and facilitating the work epidemiological investigation teams.
No one will be allowed to move out, including holders of previously-issued electronic permits, an army statement said, adding that only epidemiological investigation teams, doctors, nursing staff and a limited number of employees working in key institutions and sectors are exempt from the curfew which will be reintroduced every week until further notice.
