Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Jordan on Wednesday will remain under the impact of a heat wave currently sweeping across all regions, with temperatures forecast to peak 6-7 above annual average, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily report.
Resultantly, blisteringly hot conditions will prevail nationwide, mainly in the Jordan Valley and the Red Sea port of Aqaba. Meanwhile, spotty and intermittent showers are forecast in the southern and eastern regions, with northeasterly moderate to brisk winds stirring dust in the Badia region.
In Amman and other highlands, north and south, daytime mercury levels will range between 39 and 34 degrees. In the late afternoon and evening hours, cooler weather is forecast as temperatures slide to around 26 and 23 in some southern and northern highlands.
On Thursday, similar weather conditions will continue, while the scorching heat is expected to vanish a bit on Friday with clouds at different altitudes and northwesterly winds.
