06-02-2020 08:11 AM

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Ministry of Interior on Thursday launched three new e-services, two of which related to granting medical, tourism visas, and a third to scrapping deportation decisions.

During the launching ceremony, Minister of Interior, Salama Hammad, said these e-services aim to simplify procedures, control costs and provide quality services to citizens and foreigners.

Within the framework of the ministry’s electronic transformation project, aimed at operating e-services, he said 19 major digital services have been launched so far.

These services, he said, come in implementation of the Royal directives to develop the level of services provided to citizens and foreigners, adding this a "qualitative" shift in the Ministry's work to help the beneficiaries complete their transactions electronically.

Launched to reflect Jordan's "civilized image," he announced the beneficiaries include Jordanian citizens and foreigners from inside and outside of the Kingdom, ministries, government departments, companies, universities, hospitals, civil society institutions, and diplomatic missions.

For its part, Minister of State for Institutional Performance Development, Yasera Ghosheh, who also attended the launching ceremony, said the partnership and cooperation between all stakeholders will help all to move forward in the process of online transformation to reach a digital Jordan.
