Hot weather prevails Monday, as temps soar into 30s

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Temperatures on Monday are expected to rise 5-6 degrees above annual average, bringing relatively hot weather across most parts of the country, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).

Clouds will be seen at medium and high altitudes, with a weak chance for scattered showers in different areas, while winds will be southeasterly moderate changing to northwesterly moderate at night.

Daytime temperatures expected in the capital for today will reach 32 degrees Celsius, 35 in the northern cities and 31 in southern cities, dropping down at night to 16, 15 and 17 respectively. The weather will be hotter in the port city of Aqaba with highs jumping to 39 degrees and lows sliding to 24, the JMD said further.

A tangible in temperatures is expected on Tuesday, creating moderate conditions across many parts of the country, while it will stay hot in Aqaba, the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea.

Clouds will also appear at medium and high altitudes with northwesterly moderate winds, picking up at times and stirring dust in the desert.

Another in mercury levels will occur on Wednesday, but similar pleasant and moderate weather will continue in most regions, with clouds at low altitudes and northwesterly moderate to brisk winds, the JMD said.
