Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Relatively cold weather is expected to prevail Monday in most parts of the country, while it will be pleasant in the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily brief.
Clouds at low altitudes will also appear with northwesterly light to moderate winds, the JMD added.
Daytime temperatures expected for today in Amman, the northern and southern cities will hover around 18 degrees Celsius, dropping down to 7, 9 and 2 respectively. The weather will be warmer in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 26 degrees Celsius and lows standing at 13, the JMD explained.
The country will be affected by a warm air mass over the next two days pushing temperatures 5-6 degrees above their annual average and bringing warm conditions across the country.
Clouds at various altitudes with a chance for scattered showers during daytime are also expected, it added.
Wednesday night, the Kingdom will be affected by a cold and wet air mass accompanied by a depression centered over the northwest of Cyprus. Temperatures are expected to few degrees bringing partly cloudy to cloudy skies.
Chances for heavy rain are still in the forecast with thunder and hail overnight, especially in the northern regions.
