King receives FMs of Kuwait, UAE, Bahrain, Egypt, Saudi Arabia

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - His Majesty King Abdullah on Wednesday, as he received a number of Arab foreign ministers, stressed the importance of Arab coordination on issues and crises facing the region, further enhancing joint Arab action in the best interest of Arab countries and their peoples.

King Abdullah at Al Husseiniya Palace received Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Sabah Al Khalid Al Hamad Al Sabah, UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Bahrain Foreign Minister Sheikh Khalid bin Ahmad Al Khalifa, Egypt Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry, and Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Adel Al Jubeir.

The foreign ministers are in Jordan to hold consultations at the Dead Sea regarding the latest regional developments and ways to address them.

Discussions at the meeting saw His Majesty affirm the deep-rooted brotherly ties between Jordan and its sisterly Arab states, and voicing hope that the consultations yield fruitful results.

The meeting also covered the Palestinian issue, with His Majesty stressing the need to end the Palestinian-Israeli conflict based on the two-state solution and the Arab Peace Initiative, by establishing an independent Palestinian state on the 4 June 1967 lines with East Jerusalem as its capital.

The King sent well wishes to his fellow Arab leaders through the ministers, wishing them and their peoples further health and prosperity.

Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and Adviser to His Majesty and Director of the Office of His Majesty Manar Dabbas attended the meeting.
