Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Vice Chairman of the National Center for Security and Crisis Management, Adnan Al-Abbadi agreed with Director-General of the UAE Space Agency Mohammed Nasser Al Ahbabi, to cooperate in addressing dangers that might result from space objects falling to earth.
During a meeting at the center on Thursday, the two sides discussed means to boost cooperation, exchange expertise and programs and possibilities for the center to benefit form UAE satellites in dealing with crises.
Al- Abbadi said that dealing with crises in the modern era is no longer a local issue, but rather an international affair in which regional or international efforts are being harnessed to prevent significant damage to citizens or nature.
He highlighted the importance of enhancing cooperation between the two sides to address crises.
For his part, Al-Ahbabi pointed to both natural and manufactured objects in the space and the danger they pose if they fall to earth, stressing the need to address this issue and define ways of doing that in cooperation with concerned institutions.
