Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Cold and cloudy weather is expected in most regions on Tuesday with a chance for scattered rain in the northern parts of the Kingdom, according to Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).
The Kingdom will be affected in the afternoon hours by a very cold front accompanied by a depression centered over Cyprus that will bring rain to the northern and central regions gradually extending to parts of the southern and eastern regions.
Heavy rain accompanied by hails and thunder is expected at times in the northern and central regions causing flash floods in low lying areas," the JMD added.
Snow is also expected at night in hilly areas located 900 meters above sea level while winds will be south westerly brisk with speeds reaching 50-60 kilometers per hour.
Temperatures will slightly on Wednesday as the Kingdom will remain under the effect of the cold front. Therefore, it will continue to be cold and cloudy with scattered showers in the northern regions and parts of the southern hilly areas. Snow is also possible until the afternoon hours in the southern hilly areas.
Temperatures in Amman for today will range between a high of 11 degrees Celsius and a low of 3 degrees while daytime temperatures in Aqaba will register a high of 22 degrees and a low of 9 degrees.
