Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Kingdom will be affected on Sunday by a cold air mass accompanied by a depression centred over Turkey that will bring mercury levels down in most regions, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).
Rain is forecast in the northern regions gradually extending to the central regions and parts of the southern and eastern areas,
while winds will be north westerly brisk with speed reaching 50-60 kilometers per hour.
At night heavy rain accompanied by thunder and hail is expected in the northern and central regions with possible flash floods in valley and low lying areas as well as snow in mountainous areas.
Cold and partly cloudy conditions will continue on Monday with scattered rain in the northern regions.
In the evening, the Kingdom will be affected by another cold front accompanied by a depression centered over Cyprus. Therefore, it will be cold and cloudy with rain in the northern regions gradually extending to the central and south western areas.
Snow is also expected in high mountainous areas while winds will be south westerly brisk with speed reaching 70 kilometers per hour.
Temperatures in Amman for today will reach a high of 9 degrees Celsius dropping down to 2 degrees, while daytime temperatures in Aqaba will reach a high of 19 degrees sliding down to 9 degrees at night.
