Depression forecast to bring rain, hail today and tomorrow

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Kingdom will be affected on Thursday by a cold air mass accompanied by a depression centred over Cyprus that will bring mercury levels in most regions. Cold and rainy weather is forecast in the northern and central regions and parts of the southern regions, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).
Heavy rain with thunder and hail is also expected in the northern and central parts of the Kingdom that might cause flashfloods in valleys and low lying areas, the JMD added..
In the eastern and southern regions, the weather will be partly cloudy and dusty with a chance for light rain, while winds will be north westerly brisk with speed reaching 50-60 kilometers per hour. There will also be a weak chance for light snow in the southern mountainous regions at night.
The Kingdom will remain under the effect of the cold front on Friday with cold and partly cloudy weather and a chance for scattered rain in the northern and central regions.
As for Saturday, the weather will remain cold and partly cloudy with scattered rain, especially in the northern and central regions while winds will be south westerly moderate.
Temperatures in Amman for today will reach a high of 10 degrees and a low of 6 degrees, while in the Gulf of Aqaba daytimes temperatures will reach a high of 20 degrees sliding down to 10 degrees at night.
