Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Prime Minister Omar Razzaz said Tuesday that His Majesty King Abdullah II made tremendous efforts in bringing to justice fugitive Awni Mutee, the main suspect in the case of illegal cigarettes production and smuggling and owner of a tobacco factory.
The premier's comments came during a Lower House session today, in which he also stated that the fight against corruption was not only a slogan, but a principle pursued by the government, which exerted prodigious efforts quietly in collaboration with various bodies.
Razzaz, moreover, lauded different security agencies professionalism, including the Turkish authorities for their cooperation in extraditing the high-profile wanted suspect.
He further highlighted the important role of the legislature for raising the issue, vowing to cooperate with all parties to root out corruption.
