Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - A slight rise in mercury levels is expected on Sunday, bringing back pleasant and spring conditions in the hilly areas and the Badia regions, while it will be moderate in other parts of the Kingdom, with high clouds and a slight chance for showers in the eastern regions.

The Jordan Meteorological Department(JMD) daily brief said, a further rise in temperatures is expected on Monday creating warm weather in the mountainous areas and the Badia and relatively hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba.

Clouds at high altitudes are also forecast, with a weak chance for scattered showers in the evening, mainly in the northern and central parts of the country, while winds will be southeasterly moderate, the JMD added.

The Kingdom will be affected by a Khamasini depression as of Tuesday, bringing dusty and cloudy conditions with a chance for showers in various regions, while winds will be easterly moderate to brisk, blowing dust in the eastern and central areas at times, the JMD noted.

Temperatures expected for today in Amman and the northern cities will hover around 25 degrees Celsius and a low of 16, while daytime temperatures forecast in the southern cities will reach 22 degrees dropping down to 11 at night. The weather will be warmer in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 34 degrees and lows standing at 22, the JMD further added.
