Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Member of the Lower House of Parliament, Muhammad al-Amamrah, his wife and five children died Saturday in a horrific head-on collision on the desert highway, the Public Defense Department said in a statement.

Al-Amamrah (Southern Badia Constituency) was travelling with his family when their car collided with a tow truck on a detour near the Sawaqa region on the desert road. The lawmaker and all members of his family died on the spot while the driver of the truck and a person accompanying him sustained critical injuries. Lower House Speaker, Atef Tarawneh, voiced profound sorrow over the tragic accident and paid tribute to Al-Amamrah and said he was a model for dedication and integrity.
