Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Two security personnel were moderately injured after being attacked by three persons inside a vehicle while a police patrol was trying to verify their identity," according to a statement by the Public Security Directorate.

The statement said that "a police patrol in Irbid detected a suspicious vehicle yesterday evening with three people inside including a woman who refused to stop and comply with their order, adding that the patrol chased the vehicle and forced it to stop.

It added that the three people resisted the police and assaulted a patrol members, prompting the police crew to open fire at the suspects.

The statement said that two security men were wounded and two suspects were shot in the foot but were reported in moderate condition.
