Relatively cold weather forecast Wednesday, pleasant until Friday

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Mercury levels on Wednesday are forecast to slightly rise, but cloudy skies will remain in the northern and central parts of the Kingdom with a chance for light showers, while it will be sunny in the southern and eastern parts, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said.
Temperatures forecast for today in Amman will reach 18 degrees Celsius, in the northern cities 17, and 19 in the southern governorates, dropping down to 10, 7 and 8 degrees respectively. The weather will be warmer in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 31 and lows standing at 18, the JMD said.
A further rise in mercury levels is expected on Thursday, becoming around their annual average and bringing back pleasant spring-like conditions in the hilly areas and the Badia regions, while it will be warm in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba with clouds at various attitudes and northwesterly moderate winds, the JMD added.
Temperatures will continue to rise on Friday, creating pleasant conditions in the mountainous areas and the Badia region, while it will be relatively hot in other regions with northwesterly moderate to brisk winds, the department noted.
