King attends military drill

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces, on Monday attended a military drill that was performed by the King Hussein Bin Talal 40th Armored Brigade, one of King Abdullah II 3rd Armoured Division units, with the use of various weapons.
The King, who was accompanied by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Lt. General Mahmoud Abdul Halim, was briefed by commanders of the division and brigade on stages of the exercise and on the measures taken to conduct it.
His Majesty watched the drill that included the evacuation of non-combatant civilians in cooperation with security agencies using all means with air support by helicopters. It also included combat in urban areas with air support by helicopters and fighter jets as well as the evacuation of the injured.
The King praised the high skills of the participating units as well as their readiness to carry out their duties in a professional manner.
