The King said he appreciated the Caribbean nation's support for Jordan's candidacy to the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) Executive Council in elections due to be held next month. He also expressed Jordan's sympathy over the victims of Hurricane Irma, which recently struck Antigua and Barbuda and other Caribbean nations. Also at the meeting, which was attended by the Royal Court Chief and the Foreign Ministers of the two countries, they discussed political developments in the Middle East and the global fight against terrorism.
