Temperatures rise as Jordan prepares for new heatwave

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - A slight rise in temperatures is expected on Sunday bringing hot conditions in much parts of the Kingdom, reaching a maximum of 35 degrees Celsius in the capital and jumping to 41 degrees in Aqaba during daytime.

According to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD), temperatures will cool down at night dropping to their lower twenties across much of the country and sliding to 29 in Aqaba.

The Kingdom will be affected by a new heatwave starting Monday accompanied with the seasonal depression that will bring hot conditions in most areas, the JMD said .

Mercury levels will keep soaring on Tuesday, becoming 6-8 degrees above their annual average and creating very hot conditions in most parts of the Kingdom, the department explained.
