Temperatures set to soar as heatwave continues

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Kingdom will remain under the impact of the heatwave until Tuesday as temperatures are expected to rise 7-8 degrees above their annual average, reaching a maximum of 39 degrees Celsius in the capital and jumping to 44 degrees in the Gulf of Aqaba during daytime.

According to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD), mercury levels are forecast to cool down at night, bringing moderate conditions across much of the country reaching 26 degrees in Amman and sliding to 30 in Aqaba.

A slight in temperatures is forecast on Wednesday, but hot and dry conditions will continue to prevail in most parts of the country with high clouds and northwesterly moderate to brisk winds, the JMD added.
