Heat wave affects Kingdom as of today

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Hot and dry conditions are expected in most regions on Saturday as the Kingdom will be affected by a hot air mass accompanied by a seasonal depression, according to Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).

Winds will be north westerly light to moderate picking up a times.

A further rise in temperatures is expected tomorrow becoming 5-6 degree above their seasonal average. Therefore, hot and dry weather will prevail in the hilly areas while it will be very hot in the Badia, Dead Sea and Aqaba with north westerly light to moderate winds.

On Monday, Similar conditions will continue as another rise in temperatures will push temperatures 6-7 degrees above their seasonal average.

Temperatures in Amman for today will range between a high of 36 degrees Celsius and a low of 22 degrees while mercury levels in Aqaba will register a high of 44 degrees dropping down to 29 degrees at night.
