King chairs meeting to discuss Gov’t plan to stimulate investment

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - His Majesty king Abdullah II on Wednesday, chaired a meeting to discuss the government’s action plan to encourage investment and develop the business environment.
During the meeting, which was held at Al Husseiniya Palace and attended by Prime Minister Hani al-Mulki and representatives of a number of sectors contributing to employment and economic growth, King Abdullah said "we cannot move two steps forward and one step backward to improve the business environment".
He urged all institutions concerned with the business sector to work in harmony to provide the best services, stressing the need to boost cooperation between the public and private sectors through continuous dialogue to address the challenges facing the private sector.
The King said that solid basis will be established between the public and private sectors to improve our economic performance.
His Majesty added that there will be zero tolerance with anyone trying to hamper the program to stimulate economic growth and investment.
The meeting also discussed measures that have been agreed upon to develop the business environment related to the Greater Amman Municipality, the Customs Department, the Income and Sales Department and the Investment Commission.
Prime Minister Hani al-Mulki said the government will work to remove obstacles facing the business sector in the Kingdom.
He directed the labour minister to issue special instructions to employ no-Jordanians with wide experience to work at companies to develop their performance and pave the way for employing more Jordanians.
