He spoke about the Syrian crisis and said that "Syrian people are still being killed and displaced, adding that this requires a political solution to end this tragedy and preserve the unity of Syria and its institutions based on the Geneva Declaration 1 and Security Council Resolution 2254.

The Saudi Monarch tackled the situation in Yemen and called for preserving the unity, security and stability of the country. He stressed the need for a political solution there in accordance with the Gulf Co-operation Council Initiative.

One of the most serious threats facing our Arab nation is extremism and terrorism, said the Saudi King, emphasizing the need for concerted efforts to combat them by all means.

He spoke about interventions in the internal affairs of Arab countries and said they are a clear violation of the rules of international law and the sovereignty of these states.

He pointed to his country's interests in development issues and economic cooperation among the Arab countries, and the importance of activating all decisions aimed at promoting joint Arab action in the economic field.
