Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Arab foreign ministers, on Monday, adopted all items included on the agenda of their meeting which they convened in Amman ahead of the Arab Summit scheduled for Wednesday, Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs, Ayman Safadi said.
During a briefing at the Amman Arab Summit's Media Center, Safadi said the meeting's atmosphere was positive, whereas all draft resolutions were approved by the permanent delegates in preparation for presenting them to the Arab leaders at their meeting next Wednesday.
He added that this consensus reflects the keenness of all to make the Amman Summit a starting point for a comprehensive and coordinated Arab action to meet the various challenges facing the Arab world.
The foreign minister noted that the unprecedented presence of the Arab leaders at the Amman Summit over the years is a proof of the their keenness to work together in a coordinated and brotherly way to usher in a new era of Arab action and cooperation.
Safadi reiterated that peace is a strategic choice for the Arab states, under the two-state solution, according to which a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital must be established, noting that this will be included in the draft resolutions submitted to the summit, voicing rejection of any unilateral actions or steps that affect the historical situation in the Jerusalem.
