Royal Court chief delivers letter from His Majesty to Indian president

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Indian President Pranab Mukherjee on Wednesday received Royal Court Chief Fayez Tarawneh, who delivered to the Indian President a written letter from His Majesty King Abdullah II.

The letter highlighted the strong ties between Jordan and Indian as well as keenness to strengthen strategic partnership between the two countries through promoting consultations and coordination in various fields.

It also affirmed the need to intensify efforts by all parties to counter terrorism and extremism that threaten the whole world.

His Majesty stressed the importance of the role played by India at the international level to acheive a better future for all the peoples of the world.

The Indian president voiced his keenness to further strengthen relations with Jordan in various domains.

Tarawneh also met with Indian Vice-President Mohammad Hamid Ansari and reviewed with him Jordanian-Indian ties, and means to further enhance them in various domains.

He also met with Indian Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and discussed with them ways to boost Jordanian-Indian cooperation as well as regional issues.

Tarawneh also met with president and members of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and discussed with them economic, trade and investment cooperation between Jordan and India.

The Royal Court chief also delivered a lecture at the Indian International Affairs Council that focused on the war on terrorism and its impact on the region and the world.
