Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Iraqi MP Hamed Mitlaq on Sunday said a tender will be awarded soon to a US company to provide security for the highway linking Iraq with Jordan, prior to reopening the Tureibil border crossing.
Mitlaq, representing Anbar Province, told reporter of the Jordan News Agency, Petra, that three US companies had presented tenders to protect the 500km highway, which extends from southeastern Fallujah to Tureibil. Officials in Anbar floated the tender late last year.
