PM stresses importance of attracting projects to jobs for Jordanians

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Prime Minister Hani Mulki, on Saturday, stressed the importance of attracting development projects that contribute to creating job opportunities for Jordanians.

The prime minister gave his remarks as he chaired a Jordan Investment Board (JIB), meeting held on Saturday at the Jordan Investment Commission (JIC) premises.

He gave instructions to conduct a study to be presented to the JIB within three months. This study should include investment efforts, sectors and priority projects.

He underlined the importance of regional and international conferences hosted by Jordan in the coming period for promoting and attracting investments, especially the upcoming Arab Summit and the World Economic Forum.

JIC's President Thabit Al Werr briefed the meeting on the commission's work and role in improving the investment environment in Jordan, in order to promote the development process and find solutions to challenges facing investors.

The meeting discussed issues and topics on the agenda, approved a number of investment projects and referred them to the cabinet for endorsement.
