Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - EU Foreign Ministers meeting in Luxembourg Monday agreed on the way forward to partnership priorities with Jordan for the period 20162018 and with Lebanon for the period 2016- 2020.
The partnerships priorities take into account the goal the EU shares with Jordan and Lebanon of working
towards a common area of peace, prosperity and stability, as well as the key role played by both countries in
the region, noted the ministers in a statement.
This will contribute to providing an appropriate and safe environment for refugees and displaced persons from
Syria during their temporary stay in these two countries, it noted.
The partnerships are expected to be jointly adopted at the EUJordan Association Council and the EULebanon
Association Council, both due to take place in the coming weeks.
