Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Council of Ministers Sunday strongly condemned the killing of Jordanian writer Nahed Hattar as "a heinous crime", and asked the interior and justice ministers to closely follow up on the investigation and promptly enforce judicial decisions against the perpetrator.
"This vicious crime is alien to Jordanian society and its genuine values", the cabinet said in a statement, adding that "the citizens' awareness and keenness on the national interest of their country will lead them to condemn this criminal act that is a violation against the state of law".
The statement, released after today's session, stressed that the enforcement of the law against "any one who manipulates this crime to spread the discourse of sedition and hatred, which is strange to our cohesive Jordanian society".
