Anti-Narcotics Department foil smuggling attempt of 13.2 million narcotic pills

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) agents have foiled a major attempt to smuggle the largest quantity of narcotic pills in the history of the Kingdom and seized 13.2 million Captagon pills.
A statement by the department said after weeks of gathering information about a bid to smuggle narcotics and tracking suspects, AND agents managed to seize 13.2 million pills that were hidden inside drying racks and arrested three people involved.
AND agents received a tip about a person from a neighboring country who was preparing a large amount of drug pills to be smuggled inside the Kingdom in collaboration with a person in Amman.
Following investigations into the case, the AND personnel were able to identify the time and place of the smuggling attempt and seized the that pills that were hidden inside the suspect's house in Amman.
AND personnel executed two simultaneous raids, one against the Amman house and arrested the suspect and another to arrest the smuggler from outside the Kingdom and seize the pills in their possession
This case is the largest in the history of the Kingdom and the region in terms of quantity.
