Border Guards thwart narcotics smuggling bid

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Border Guards, Sunday, engaged a vehicle at the border with Syria and seized 6.2 Captagon pills and 1,692 palm-sized sheets of hashish after destroying the car, according to a military source.

The source said the car was spotted trying to sneak inside Jordan's territory. Consequently, rules of engagement were implemented and a Rapid Reaction Force patrol moved to the spot intercepting and flipping the car.

The occupants fled the car after it rolled over, the source added.
