Temperatures soar as heat wave sweeps across Jordan

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Hot and dry conditions are forecast to prevail Saturday and Sunday, as the Kingdom remains under the impact of the heat wave started last week, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) daily brief.
A in temperatures is forecast Monday; therefore it will be relatively hot in the hilly areas and hot in the Badia regions, the Jordan Valley and the Gulf of Aqaba. Winds will be northwesterly moderate to brisk blowing dust in the desert areas, the JMD added.
Temperatures expected in the capital for today will reach a high of 38 degrees Celsius and a low of 24 degrees at night, while mercury levels in the Gulf of Aqaba will hit 43 degrees dropping to 31.
