They emphasized that bilateral ties reached a strategic and advanced level of constant cooperation and coordination. The King and the US lawmakers also discussed the latest developments in the Middle East and the world. They stressed the need to intensify efforts to combat terrorism and extremism and find a comprehensive political solution to the crisis in Syria in addition to reviving peacemaking efforts between the Palestinians and Israelis. The US lawmakers hailed Jordan as an ally and partner in promoting global peace and security.
