Jordanian Ambassador Visits the Victims’ Families of Chapel Hill Shooting in North Carolina

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to the United States Dr. Alia Bouran travelled to North Carolina today to meet with the families of Deah Barakat, Yusor and Razan Abu-Salha, the three students tragically killed in Chapel Hill this week.
While there, Bouran paid her condolences to the victims’ families and loved ones and shared the deep sympathy of the His Majesty King Abdullah II, the people and government of Jordan for this horrific tragedy and immense loss.
Yesterday, Jordan’s Foreign Ministry issued a statement publicly confirming that both Yusor and Razan Abu-Salha held dual citizenship in the United States and Jordan. Yusor Abu-Salha, 21, immigrated to the United States with her family from Jordan when she was 6 months old; her sister Razan, 19, was born in the United States.
Yusor had recently graduated from North Carolina State University with a degree in biological sciences, while Razan was a sophomore at the same school studying architecture and environmental design.
The Embassy of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in Washington, D.C. is closely following the ongoing investigation into this heart-breaking crime and has established contact with the U.S. authorities and law enforcement officials.
